Dear festival visitor On this place you find some more or less helpful information about the festival. Click on one of the below-mentiond words to get more information about the topic. In case you cannot find the answers you were looking for, feel free to contact us by using the corresponding form.
You can purchase things at the bar only with a voucher card (instead of money in cash). You get the voucher card at a separate cash desk at the bar. If you don’t use all the deposit on your voucher card it will certainly be refounded when you give back your card. In case you loose your card you are not legitimated to get any refund (replacement card) it in any case.
Regular analogue or digital compact cameras as well as mobile phones with integrated cameras are allowed. Reflex cameras with changeable objectives, video cameras and any recording equipment are strictly prohibited on the concert site!
The camping ground is open from Wednesday 17 o’clock (5 p.m) until Sunday 14 o’clock (2 p. m.). Building up the tent is only allowed on the indicated camping area. The camping area cannot be entered by car. For all vehicles exists a separate car park (see car park).
Parking your car is free as it has been ever since (for festival visitors only). But we ask you to follow the instructions of the traffic service and remember that you are held to park your car only on the indicated areas. Those parked out of the indicated areas can be removed by the police with costs.
In addition please remember that you are reliable for your arrival and departure to and from the festival venue and that you pull in your car at your own risk. The organiser is not liable for any damages at and/or thefts out of cars.
You are held to follow the instructions of our crew members and the security staff. Any offensive agitation against can cause the exclusion of the event.
Dogs, pets and animals in general are forbidden on the entire festival and camping ground.
The festival area (incl. festival tent and bar) will be open as follows:
Thursday from 8.00 p.m. to Friday at 04.00 a.m
Friday from 12.00 a.m. permanently to Sunday at 06.00 a.m. When entering the festival site you will have to go through a security check at the entrance. Make sure you don’t carry any drinks or food with you as well as the permitted kinds of cameras as otherwise we will have to take them off you respectively you will have to bring them back to your car or depose it in your tent. In addition, the following items are prohibited on the festival site: pocket knifes, video cameras, video mobile phones, walkman, cassette and MD recorders, any pyrotechnical gear, any sort of cans (bier, hairspray, deodorant), flacons, flag staffs, sticks, nail files etc.. There is a ticket counter / cash desk at the entrance to the concert area. There we will change your tickets for the festival wristbands. You have to show your wristband to any security or staff member asking for that. Therefore it is prohibited to take it off from when you get it until it looses its valildity respectively until the end of the festival.
It is forbidden to install any kind of private, open fireplace. The organizer can install a public fire place on or next to the camping ground if the conditions allow it. Camping stoves and barbecue grills are allowed as long as they are not used for purposes other than intended.
As all the years before there will be a first aid point in the building right next to the entrance provided by the samaritan’s association of Muotathal. It will be open permanently from Thursday at 08.00 p.m. until Sunday at 10.00 a.m.
Of course we are going to take good care of your physical needs again. Food stalls can be found near the entrance of the concert area and there will be a large bar in the party tent too. Please remember that you may bring some food and drinks for personal use but to the camping area only. Private food and drinks are not allowed to be taken into the concert area. Further more you may leave the concert area with food and drinks bought in the area but you cannot enter again for reasons of manageability. Motto: Everything out but nothing back in!
Please help with the area clearance and do not litter the environment. You get some garbage bags for free at the entrance to collect your trash. The filled bags you can depose in one of the large trays provided.
Further more there are plenty of waste bins around to depose your small trash.
The garbage disposal is included in the ticket price.
We kindly ask you to understand our request not to bring any kind of glass (bottles, flask, container etc.). So, please do so, regardless of what it stores. This contains porcellaine as well as stoneware, too! Flacons and medicines are allowed up to a quantity of 50 ml. Best thing to do is to change everything into plastic containers where possible.
The camping ground is a mountain pasture and cows definitively prefer to feed and walk on grass instead of glass.
The security and crew members are allowed to check for this and to urge you to change respectively dispose any kind of glass.
Any changes which might occurre during the festival will be displayed at the official Mountains of Death merchandising stall and at the bar. If you have any further questions, don’t hesitate to visit the MOD merchandising stall. People there will certainly be able to help you…
In case you have found a lost property please drop it at the official Mountains of Death merchandise stall. So everybody missing something shall visit the official Moun tains of Death merchandising stall. In case you notice a losing after the festival please get in touch by E-Mail.
There is a large merchandising tent in the concert area. There you can find all merchandising… not only the official Mountains of Death merchandising stall but also the band’s merch and some more dealers with different products (CD’s and clothes).
The village of Muotathal is only about 1.5 km away from the festival area. The village provides shopping facilities, cash machines, a post office, hotels and restaurants. For more information visit: www.muotathal.ch.

The festival area and the camping ground are separated by the river Muota. Entering the riverbed for what reason ever (e. g. for swimming or washing oneselves) can be dangerous and is done at one’s own risk. The organizer does not take any responsibility and is not liable for any harm caused.
A running order will be published in due time.
There is a sawmill located between the concert area and the camping ground. It can be very dangerous to enter the company’s production facilities or storage area. In addition it is located on privat ground. Therefore it is forbidden under any circumstances to enter these premises. The organizer does not take any responsibility and is not liable for any harm caused.
For the first time in the history of MOD we will provide some showers next to the camping area. When collecting your festival wrist band you will get a token for free to use the shower once. In case you need some more shower tokens you can get them for a small amount at the cash desk.
All showers will be controlled and cleaned frequently.
3-day-tickets will - unless sold out - be sold for 90.- CHF at our chash desk beginning Thursday at 20.00 p.m. Unless sold out, there will also daypasses be available for 20.- CHF (Thursday) 40.- CHF (Friday, Saturday)
The portable toilet trailers can be use for free for festival visitors. They provide running water and light and will be controlled and cleand frequently.
It is prohibited to trade any kind of goods.
We don’t want to ban iron wear, drinking horns and so on as we do trust in your reliable use of them. Just self made iron gear and spikes are not to be brought onto the site due to an increased risk of danger!
Weapons are as a matter of course forbidden on the entire festival site! There should be no need to explain why. That includes baseball racks, knuckle dusters, gas, axes, chainsaws, spades and any dangerous tools such as hammers and so on.
Anyone looking for trouble or damaging anyone’s property, inside the fencing or beyond, will be kicked out!!! Have the guts and interfere or inform the securities if someone starts trouble or harasses girls etc. |
